The Sixth Element School, South City I - Early Years

Activities & Enrichments

At The Sixth Element School @ South City 1, we believe in providing a rich and diverse environment that fosters creativity, physical development, and cognitive growth. Our carefully curated activities and learning spaces are designed to enhance the holistic development of every child, ensuring they receive a well-rounded education that goes beyond the traditional classroom.

Music and Performing Arts

Dedicated Music Room: Our school is equipped with a dedicated music room, featuring child-friendly instruments such as the ukulele, banjo, cymbals, tambourine, and tabla. This hands-on learning space allows children to explore and develop their musical talents, encouraging creativity and self-expression through sound and rhythm.
Annual School Play: Every year, we host an annual school play where each class has the opportunity to perform on stage. This event is not just about acting but also about building confidence, teamwork, and public speaking skills as students experience the thrill of performing in front of an audience.

Visual Arts and Creativity

Art Attack - Annual Art Day: Our annual Art Attack day is a celebration of creativity, where children exhibit their artistic creations. Parents are invited to view the techniques their children have learned throughout the year. This event highlights the importance of visual arts in fostering imagination and artistic skills in young minds.

Physical Development

Gym Room – XFit and Jungle Cubs: Our gym room is home to the XFit class and the Jungle Cubs program, both of which are designed to develop gross motor skills in young children. These activities focus on physical fitness, coordination, and strength, laying the foundation for a healthy lifestyle.
Kinderlearning – Dance for Little Feet: Kinderlearning combines dance with thematic learning to help children coordinate hand, eye, and foot movements. This program is designed to enhance physical coordination while reinforcing concepts learned in the classroom through dance and movement.

Sensory and Outdoor Exploration

Sensory Trail Leading to Sand Pit & Garden Area: Our sensory trail is a unique feature that stimulates brain development, enhances the senses, promotes social interaction, and improves memory. The trail leads to a sand pit and garden area where children can engage in tactile and sensory play, further enriching their learning experience.

Enrichment Activities

Our enrichment activities are designed to extend learning beyond the classroom, offering students real-world experiences that enhance their understanding of the world around them.

  • Excursions to Farm Houses: These trips allow children to connect with nature, learn about agriculture, and understand the importance of sustainable living.
  • Visits to Traffic Parks: These excursions teach children about road safety and traffic rules in a fun, interactive environment.
  • Festival Visits to Gurdwaras: To promote cultural awareness and understanding, we organize visits to places of worship, like Gurdwaras, where children learn about different traditions and values.
  • Supermarket Visits: These outings teach practical life skills, such as money management, decision-making, and social interaction, as children navigate a supermarket environment.

Green Living

From an early age, our kindergarten program integrates green living into the curriculum. Children learn about environmental responsibility through hands-on activities such as gardening, recycling projects, and eco-friendly practices. This not only fosters a love for nature but also instills values of sustainability and conservation in our young learners.
